Therapies With
Mike &/or Jillian Taylor:
Fire and Water
Therapy
Mike and Jillian together use a unique form of blended "team" therapies to allow each
person their own movement into wellness. These therapies might include Myofascial
Release, Lomi Lomi with Warm Stones, Aromatherapy, Su Jok, Reflexology,
Drums, and Essence Retrieval.
Mike
and Jillian create, through traditional ways, a synergistic balance. Synergy
is the interaction of elements that produces a total effect that is greater
than the sum of the individual elements, e.g. Fire (male energy) +
Water (female energy) = Steam (a powerful release).
This therapy requires a letter on intent, which creates a foundation for
the changes wanting to be made by the client. A phone conversation is a must
to get a complete understanding of this powerful and unique therapy.
Myofascial
Release Therapy
Myofascial
Release Therapy is a treatment that involves a
mild and gentle form of relaxing the fascial connective tissue. When
an injury scars or hardens the fascia in one area, it can put tension on
other areas of the body even some distance from the injured area. The key to
success is the teamwork between the practitioner and the patient with both
being actively committed.
Cranial Sacral
Therapy
Cranial-sacral
massage is a type of light massage pressure on the connective tissue of the
head and lower back. This use of light pressure frees restrictions of
movement. A healing modality developed by an osteopath early in the
twentieth century, cranial-sacral massage recognizes the intrinsic movements
of the bones of the skull and the subtle, but measurable, rhythmic tidal
motions in the spinal column and brain and their expression of the health of
the system. This therapy aids many conditions, restoring the flow of energy,
reinstating physical, emotional and mental well being.
Reiki
Reiki
(pronounced Ray-Key) is a method of natural healing based on the
application of Universal Life Force Energy). Reiki is the laying of
hands in numerous positions on the body. Using energy, the practitioner can
assist the client in helping to heal. There is no kneading or rubbing with
Reiki, it is simply the transference of energies where the practitioner acts
as a conduit for the energies. Reiki sessions can last from 5 minutes in one
area up to an hour session in several areas of the body.
River Stone Therapy
The ancient Indians say, “The
story is in the stones.” We take that to heart and say, “The story for
healing is also in the stones, waiting to be experienced.” Heating the
stones in water and allowing them to reach a warm soothing temperature,
releases their healing energy. The warm stones provide the communicating
energy to the muscles of your body to relax, be invigorated and cleansed.
River Stone Therapy is a marvelous way to tell your body thank you.
Raindrop
Therapy
Raindrop therapy uses a sequence of over 20 highly antimicrobial essential
oils designed to help simultaneously reduce inflammation. The hot oils relax
and sooth as well as help bolster the body’s immune response. The Raindrop
Therapy is one of many tools to help restore a balance of good health.
Raindrop therapy is highly effective treatment when the first
signs of cold or flu start to appear.
SU JOK
SU JOK is a Korean pressure point therapy.
Su means a hand and Jok means a foot. The hands and feet are the location
of systems of highly active points corresponding to all organs and parts of
the body. Massage on these points produce whole body wellness and
balance. So Jok therapy, a method of treatment by stimulation of the hand
and foot, can be classed with one of the best self-help methods known today.
Essence
Retrieval
Do you
feel disconnected, disassociated from life, or spaced out? Are you observing
life as if you were in a movie? Is chronic depression and fragmented thought
part of your life? Are you empty…?
According to psychotherapist and Shamanic practioner Sandra Ingerman, “…in
almost all Shamanic cultures around the world, illness was seen as due to
the lost of the soul.” Losing a piece of your essence can result in illness
or emotional feelings of emptiness. So, how do you retrieve the parts of
your lost essence? One way is to have someone intercede in your behalf, and
retrieve that part of your essence that has been lost.
Trigger Point
Therapy
Trigger points are accumulations of
waste products around a nerve receptor. Often times they feel like nodules
or taut bands of fibers within the soft tissues. Trigger points form in
muscles, which have been overused or injured due to an accident or surgery.
Common characteristics are increased muscle tension and muscle shortening.
Increased muscle tension is the primary side effect of trigger points and
pain is the most common secondary effect. Trigger points can present
themselves as
referred patterns of sensation such as
sharp pain, dull ache, tingling, pins and needles, hot or cold, as well as
can create symptoms such as nausea, ear ache, equilibrium disturbance, or
blurred vision.
Hawaiian Lomi Lomi
Lomi lomi is an ancient healing art. Lomi lomi has a
profound effect not only on the development of muscles, but also on the
activity of the blood and nerves associated with the muscles of the body.
Other benefits from Lomi lomi are improved circulation, elimination
of excess water and toxins, increased blood supply, and it improves
nutrition of tissues and heightens metabolism. Hawaiian Lomi lomi creates a
profound sense of well being.
Equine Therapy
Equine Therapy is an Integrated Team Therapy. We do Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Stretching, Reiki, and Essential Oils. Most times when there has been an accident we recommend therapy for horse
as well as rider. It creates well being and balance for
both.
